In 2006, Mirror Lake Management (MLM) assumed responsibility for the operations of the waterfront. MLM is a dba under Community Recreation Association For Towns (CRAFT) Inc.

Mirror Lake is what’s called a “kettle pond” that was formed back when glaciers were prevalent in New England.  Because of the depth of the glacier that was in this area, Mirror Lake is one of the deepest fresh water bodies relative to its size.  Some water bodies may boast being 30, 40 or even 50 feet deep.  The army core of engineers measured Mirror’s to be almost 90!

The lake is spring-fed and the sandy beach is consistently groomed which gives it an almost ocean feel beneath your feet. Boating equipment may be rented which includes canoes, row boats and paddleboards.  Large family or corporate outings can be planned through our events planner and feel free to bring your fishing pole as well!

Our first priority is to ensure the safety of anyone who visits the facilities. Before the season even begins, our staff performs a thorough inspection of the environment for potential hazards and they also notate any area that may need to be repaired or upgraded. When the lake opens, additional lifeguards are always on hand when beach activity increases.

Although our primary focus is on safety, we do our utmost to provide various forms of recreation and services that the public will find useful.

If you are interested in becoming a lifeguard, we offer Red Cross Lifesaving Certification.  If you work for us, we will reimburse your certification costs up to $300!

If you have any questions or would like to offer feedback/suggestions about our program, please do not hesitate to contact us.
